A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is exceptionally simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will simply need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the respective email address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain name hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click that icon. In the same fashion you’ll be able to remove the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will inform you if you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all address for a given domain or if there is activated email forwarding, but it will never deactivate or change anything automatically and without your consent.
